Helping people discover Christ through the seasons of life

How Spiritual Are You?

Sunday the challenge was to be encouraging.  That is one of the most spiritual things you can do in life, why? Because our God is an encouraging God.  He encourages us every step of the way in life, even when we may not have seen it.

Think of the wonder, beauty of this earth. All to encourage us in knowing that He loves and cares for us.  Think of our bodies and how wonderfully and amazingly they have been made.  He has done all of this to encourage our hearts to look to Him and all that He has for us. So why wouldn't we want to do the same for others?

Remember there at least three spiritual things you can do in life. The first is to encourage others daily.  If you think an encouraging thought say it. Share it with the one whom it is for. "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT

Second, encourage others spiritually. Let others know how their growth in Christ inspires you Share with them what you are seeing in their life. "One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last to see you. 11 For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. 12 When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours." Romans 1:10-12 NLT

Third, encourage yourself in the Lord. When faced with difficulties we know that David encouraged himself in the Lord.  Even Jesus had to have moments that he encouraged himself with the Father.  Take time to be built up with scripture, songs and devotion.

Looking forward to another great Sunday as we are so grateful for God's care, concern and heart for us.  Stay Positive in Him and watch your life transform for His glory.
