Good Afternoon Harvesters,
UUUgggghhhh...caught myself several times this week with life-taking words to myself. Things like, "Bonehead, What are you doing?, I can't believe I could be so dumb..." I know, I know doing exactly what I shared with you what were not supposed to do.
I have confessed, how about you? What has flowed from your tongue either to others or yourself? Life-giving or life-taking? I hope life-giving. Remember if you want to change to see major outcomes it first comes by getting that small thing inside of our mouth surrendered to Christ.
Little changes in the words we speak=major outcome in the life we live and the lives of others. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, "The tongue has the power of life and death..."
I hope you have taken time this week to speak words, things that are good to those who need to hear it. If you haven't already find someone to say something nice too. It will help you just as much as it will help encourage them.
On the flip side if you have that negative thought or word, remember to to just skip it, don't say it at all and let Christ capture that thought and get rid of it. My prayer for you this week has been Psalm 19:14, "May the words of my (your) mouth, and the meditation of my (your) heart be pleasing to You, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."
Looking forward to wrapping this series up on Sunday!
