Good Evening Harvest Church Family,
As we prepare for this weekend I want to encourage you to reread Chapter 1 & 2 of Habakkuk. It will help to set the stage for this week's message. A message to close out this series.
Last week was great and crazy all at the same time. Vacation Bible School was a great time of working together to share the message the Jesus has the power to pull us through and we must TRUST JESUS!
There are times when I have asked the questions of 'What else can go wrong, God?!? Or what else can we squeeze into this already crazy week?' I know that with VBS, a Memorial Service for Evelyn Thomsen, Piano Concert on Sunday with Jerry Nelson and then Worship in the Park Sunday night, there was not much more we could do.
This week has been a lighter week and a good chance to take a breath. I pray that as we move towards the weekend that you will find some time to relax and breathe. To reflect on God's goodness and that we have an awesome God and Savior who is with us daily to renew our hearts and minds through the power of His Holy Spirit.
I pray for each of you, that you will not allow our enemy to have a foothold in your mind and heart in the coming days and to stay focused on the One who loves us beyond measure and who wants to help us move out of the dip.
Remember a quote from a few weeks back. 'Successful people do consistently what normal people do occasionally.' Psalm 139:23-24 reminds all of us that being consistent is what is needed if we truly want to mature in our faith. "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
Allow God to search and prepare you as we come together to worship Him. Look forward to seeing you Sunday!
