Good Morning Harvest Church Family,
John Wooden, one of the greatest college basketball coaches of all-time said, "It's the little things that are vital. Little things make the big things happen."
If you want major outcomes in your life, then it starts with the little things, the little changes that help reach and see the big changes in your life. Paul said in Philippians 3:13, "...But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Paul helps us in telling us that he is not going to let his past define his future. God has something much more in store for him and his life, and he will let go of all that past and move forward because God has great things.
I know that it is easy to get stuck thinking about all the change that needs to happen in our lives. We get caught up in the game of comparisons but know this, let's start with one little thing, do it consistently with God's help and you will be able to look back at what major outcomes have come from it.
I asked you Sunday to pray and ask God for one specific word hat will define and direct you for these next four weeks and for the rest of the year. Then, put a verse to it., because this is not going to be by your own power, but by God's Spirit that He will empower us to move forward.
How is that going for you? Have you gotten your one word and verse? I know I have mine and looking forward to sharing it with you on Sunday. If it hasn't happened yet, keep asking God will give it to you.
Many of you have gotten out of the habit of gathering back together again in person. I pray that you will take the first little step of getting out bed, getting dressed. Then maybe next week it is the same and then coming to church. I am thankful for the live stream tech that we have but it does not replace the gathering of God's people together. The community that He calls all of us too. So start little and watch what can happen!
Looking forward to continuing this series on Sunday!
