Good Afternoon Harvest Church Family,
Sunday we dug into looking at when we are in the midst of the "crisis of belief" what do we do. How do we begin to move or what are we supposed to do?
Habakkuk 2:1-3, tell us, “I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint. Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
As we decide to embrace God and go through the dip we are minded to stop and listen. Take time to hear what God wants to say to you. After your questions and wondering why? Give Him the opportunity to speak.
As we listen we need to write down those things that He says. Or highlight the scriptures, take down in notes or journal what God is speaking, Himself or through other people, even songs.
And then we wait. Waiting is not doing anything. As I said Sunday what does waiter or waitress do? They serve. Begin serving, even in the smallest way because sometimes the biggest help will come as we serve, as we wait.
Finally, we need to remember those three words in verse 20 of chapter 2. "But the Lord". That He is still on His throng and in charge. He knows what is going on and has plans that will come to pass.
This week has been an amazing week of ministering to children through VBS and a reminder for all of us that "Jesus' Power Pulls Us Through - Trust Jesus!" How often do we really place all that we are in His hands? We really like to keep one hand in to think that we have control. But Trust is letting go and falling into His arms and letting Him lead.
The time in the dip can be difficult but if we trust and allow Him to lead, greater things are in store.
Our closing VBS Program is Friday night at 6:00 all are welcome to join us and hear what the kids have been learning and singing about this week. If not, then I will see you Sunday!
